All of Hawaiʻi Island
Seven districts, one dispatch line. We are based in Honokaʻa on the Hāmākua Coast and cover every district from Kohala to Kaʻū.
Districts we serve
Kohala
Hāwī, Kapaʻau, Kawaihae, Waikoloa
North Kohala is ranch land and small towns; South Kohala is the resort coast from Kawaihae to Waikoloa. We staff resort posts, golf and residential communities, and construction sites along the Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway corridor.
Waimea
Waimea (Kamuela), Puʻukapu, Lālāmilo
Waimea is the hub of upcountry Hawaiʻi Island: ranches, schools, medical offices, and a busy commercial core. It is twenty minutes from our Honokaʻa base.
Hāmākua
Honokaʻa, Kukuihaele, Paʻauilo, Laupāhoehoe
Our home district. RMT Security has been based in Honokaʻa since 1999. The Hāmākua Coast is farms, former plantation towns, and the road to Waipiʻo. Our base is here, so this is the part of the island we know best.
Hilo
Hilo, Papaikou, Pepeʻekeo, Hakalau
Hilo is the county seat and the island's largest town: government buildings, the university, the hospital, the port, and the retail centers along Kanoelehua Avenue. Standing guard posts and overnight patrol are our most common work here.
Puna
Keaʻau, Pāhoa, Volcano, Hawaiian Paradise Park
Puna is the fastest-growing district on the island, with large subdivisions, agricultural land, and the national park gateway at Volcano. Property owners here often need patrol coverage for vacant lots and rentals.
Kaʻū
Pāhala, Nāʻālehu, Ocean View, Punaluʻu
Kaʻū is the largest district and the most remote: coffee and macadamia farms, Punaluʻu, and the road to Ka Lae. We schedule patrol routes here so that coverage is reliable even where the nearest neighbor is miles away.
Kona
Kailua-Kona, Keauhou, Hōlualoa, Kealakekua, Captain Cook
Kona is the visitor economy: hotels, vacation rentals, the airport corridor, Aliʻi Drive, and the coffee belt above it. Event security, hotel and condo posts, and estate security make up most of our Kona work.
Visitors and mainland clients often call it the Big Island. Residents say Hawaiʻi Island. Either way, it is the whole island, and the drive from Honokaʻa to Kailua-Kona is about ninety minutes, which is why we staff posts and patrol routes with officers who already live nearby.
